Chairman of the Board

A highly experienced entrepreneur with over 30 successful years in the energy, semiconductor and electronics sectors. Kevin was the founding CEO of Oxford PV, building its value from zero to £29M in 5 years and raising £15M in equity funding and grants. Previously, Kevin was the founding CEO of QuantaSol and has held senior leadership roles with technology companies including Mitel Semiconductor, SiTel Semiconductor and TRW LSI products.

Qualifications: BEng (Hons) Mining Engineering, PhD, Mining Engineering, University of Nottingham, UK. CEng, MIMMM

As a founding member of GeoSLAM Ltd, Graham has over 15 years’ experience in the LiDAR industry, leading the development, sales and marketing of airborne and terrestrial laser mapping systems for 3D Laser Mapping. Previously Graham worked for 12 years in the mining industry; working as a regional manager and mining engineer for Maptek and as a mining engineer for Rio Tinto (Rossing Uranium).

David Henderson

Qualifications: MBA, Harvard Business School

An experienced director and investment committee member with good corporate governance background, David has been a member of 4 investment committees and a director or Chairman of 19 companies, including one which became Australia’s largest biotech IPO, and two companies that raised funds in the US. David combines strategy and analysis from his Harvard MBA and time at Booz Allen and McKinsey with a good understanding of a wide range of technologies.

Christian Richter

Qualifications: MBA, Australian Graduate School of Management, Diplom-Informatiker (German 4-year degree in computer science), Cologne University of Applied Sciences

Working at the intersection of innovation and business, Christian has gained more than 10 years of research and development experience across Europe, the US and Australia. At Bosch in Palo Alto, he developed new software solutions and technology prototypes before moving to IBM in Dublin, where he progressed emerging software trends such service oriented architectures, software-as-a-service platforms and Agile. Since 2009, he led a range of complex R&D programs at the CSIRO in Brisbane and engages with clients across a number of industries to translate latest R&D advances into distinct competitive positions for companies.

Ian is an experienced Chief Executive Officer and entrepreneurial leader. He has strong credentials in both B2B and B2C business growth, having led two Private Equity backed management buy-outs, realising significant value and returns in each case. He has built leadership teams in the UK, US and China who in turn have delivered growth momentum and self-sufficiency. Ian was a 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalist and made the Sunday Times Buy-out Track 100 Fastest Growing Companies in 2011 and 2012.

He has a proven track record as a CEO – performing a management buy-out of software firm Mettoni taking it to a successful exit. Richard has had several successes including expanding companies from UK to global businesses whilst increasing profits by over 400%, as well as the successful acquisition and sale of over 8 other technology companies, in both the UK and USA.

John is an experienced Sales and Marketing professional with global experience. He has successfully built sales and marketing infrastructures and channels for both established and start-up companies. Through his roles at ERDAS, BAE Systems and exactEarth, John has built up an extensive global network in the Geospatial, Remote Sensing/Photogrammetry and Maritime industries, and has experience of closing high value commercial and government contracts around the world. John specialises in the implementation of CRM, strategic marketing and building successful global sales channels.

Mark Reid

VP - Product Management

Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Geography, University of Leicester, UK

A geomatics professional, Mark has over 15 years’ experience in the geospatial industry, with specific expertise in airborne, mobile, and terrestrial LIDAR systems. Having worked as a land surveyor in the UK, Mark moved to the Middle East for 6 years to manage and implement some of the world’s largest laser scanning and as-built 3D modelling projects for Qatar Petroleum. Prior to joining GeoSLAM, Mark led UK and international business development for Renishaw plc Spatial Measurement Division across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Ric Durrant

Qualifications: BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, University of Nottingham, UK

Central to GeoSLAM’s success, Ric initially served as Managing Director before turning his attention to focus on product design and development. Ric brings his prior product design experience with 3D Laser Mapping, Caterpillar, and Perkins Engines Company Ltd to bear at GeoSLAM; driving product reliability and usability to new heights.
